PC Makers Introduced the First Intel “Santa Rosa” Notebooks

hp-pavilion-hdxAll of the major PC makers released this week their new notebooks based on Intel Centrino Pro and Centrino Duo “Santa Rosa” platform. Along with new GM965/PM965 chipsets, these laptops feature the new 64-bit Intel Core 2 Duo processors, which now have 800MHz front side bus, compared to the first generation of Core 2 Duos for notebooks with 667MHz FSB. Also, now there is increased number of PC vendors offering their mobile computers with 64-bit Windows Vista OS pre-installed.
