Gigabyte today introduced the GA-N680SLI-DQ6 and GA-N650SLI-DS4 motherboards, enabling SLI gaming by NVIDIA nForce 600 Series chipsets and support for the Intel Core 2 Quad processors.
The Gigabyte GA-N680SLI-DQ6 motherboard features the NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI MCP chipset, delivering dual PCI Express x16 connectivity. With support for an additional x8 lane of PCI Express connectivity, GIGABYTE GA-N680SLI-DQ6 allows users to add a standalone games physics processing card for an additional boost of graphics performance, the Gigabyte’s press release says.
It incorporates 1333 FSB support for Intel Core 2 Quad CPUs and NVIDIA SLI-Ready memory technology supporting up to 8GB of DDR2 1200MHz memory and Quad-Triple Phase power.
Gigabyte also announced GA-N650SLI-DS4 motherboard featuring NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI MCP chipset. It has dual PCI Express x8 connectivity, support for the SATA2 devices, a Gigabit LAN and support for 8-channel Intel HD audio.
Gigabyte GA-N680SLI-DQ6 and GA-N650SLI-DS4 are expected to become available during late December, 2006.
