The ECS 671T-M motherboard is positioned as a best-value solution for mainstream market.

The ECS 671T-M motherboard is designed to draw attention of potential customers in the mainstream market. With the powerful SiS671 chipset, which is compatible for Windows Vista, the ECS 671T-M is able to optimize the system performance. The SiS671 chipset supports Intel Core 2 Duo/ Pentium D/ Pentium 4/ Celeron D processors, and DDR2-667/533 memory with memory size up to 4GB. With the SiS’s proprietary HyperStreaming technology, the SiS671 is able to optimize the performance of the entire computer system. It smartly manages the data streaming to flow effortlessly between Northbridge and Southbridge, from peripherals to core logic chipsets, to front side bus, to memory and to graphic interface. The Mirage3 graphics engine is integrated in the SiS671 chipset to support 2D and 3D playback. It smoothes the image quality of the system when playing games or watching DVDs. Moreover, the SiS671 chipset provides one PCI Express x16 slot which allows up to 4GB/s of bandwidth for each direction. Gamers are allowed to tune up the graphics performance with an add-on card when it’s needed.

Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install iTunes again.’ is Apples magical way of telling you that iTunes is not supported on 64-bit flavors of Microsoft’s operating systems. Yeah, we agree, they should have listed the incompatibility on the iPhone specs page under Windows System Requirements. Unfortunately for those of you new to Apple software, its buried in support article 301301 which states, ‘iTunes is currently not supported in Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or any 64-bit edition of Windows Vista.’ Now you know,” Engadget says.

With four processor cores and 8MB of shared L2 cache, this represents the state-of-the-art CPU for professional-grade multimedia applications. There’s a similarly impressive amount of storage on offer too, with a twin disk Serial ATA RAID 0 array totalling 1 terabyte (1000GB). Of course the choice of graphics card is vital for a system like this, which is why VAIO selected the NVIDIA(r) GeForce(r) 8600 GTS. From video manipulation to high-end gaming, with full DirectX 10 support, superlative 3D effects and tremendous performance backed by 256MB of GDDR3 video memory, this is a GPU that delivers exactly what is required,” the press release said.
