ECS Elitegroup recently announced the new PN2 SLI2+ Extreme motherboard for gamers and overclocking enthusiasts, based on the NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI media and communication processor (MCP) and made for use with the Intel Core 2 processors. The ECS PN2 SLI2+ Extreme supports 1333GHz Front Side Bus (FSB), DDR2-1200 and “precise overclocking control that unleashes the full potential of hardware components”.
ECS PN2 SLI2+ Extreme comes with three PCI Express x16 slots, two of which support the multi-GPU SLI technology with true x16 bandwidths, while the extra PCIe x16 slot can be used for a physics processing card or any additional PCIe x16 card.
According to the ECS’s press release, the PN2 SLI2+ Extreme features complete I/O connectivity and modern storage interfaces.
