Elitegroup Computer Systems has released the ECS AMD690GM-M2 micro ATX motherboard built around the AMD690 chipset with AMD Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 X2 / Athlon 64 processor support.
“With integrated ATI Radeon Express X1250 graphics engine, the AMD690GM-M2 is an ideal platform to run the graphics-driven Windows Vista Premium OS to deliver the ultimate visual and acoustic experience,” according to ECS.
The new motherboard supports up to 16 GB dual-channel DDR2 800 memory. ECS AMD690GM-M2 enables use of up to ten USB 2.0 ports and features integrated Gigabit LAN controller. For data storage, the motherboard supports up to four Serial ATA II devices with RAID 0, 1 and 0+1 functionality, and includes a single-channel IDE interface as well. The AMD690GM-M2 also implements the PCI Express technology with one PCI Express x16 slot for graphics expansion and two PCI Express x1 slots for additional I/O connectivity.
The ECS AMD690GM-M2 features 8-channel HD audio codec.
