Dell has updated its Dimension desktop PC line with three new models featuring Intel’s and AMD’s 64-bit processors.
The customizable Dell Dimension E520 comes with Intel Core 2 (codenamed Conroe) and Pentium D CPUs. Dimension’s E520 motherboard provides four slots (one x16 PCIe, one x1 PCIe and two PCI).
Dell Dimension E521 is powered by AMD Sempron , Athlon 64 or Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor. It has three slots (one x16 PCIe, one x1 PCIe and one PCI) and six USB ports.
According to Dell, the Dimension C521 offers the performance and versatility of the Dimension E520 and E521, but with a sleeker, more compact style at approximately half of their size. It provides AMD Sempron, AMD Athlon 64 and AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor options. It has three slots (one x16 PCIe, one x1 PCIe and one PCI) and six USB ports.
The new Dimension desktop PCs come with Windows Media Center OS.
The new Dimension E520, Dimension E521 and Dimension C521 are available worldwide with one-year limited warranty and service support, priced at $719, $329 and $359 respectively.
