ASRock 4Core1333 eSATA2 motherboardASRock has announced its first Intel 3 series motherboard, the ASRock 4Core1333-eSATA2 based on the P31 plus ICH7R chipset combination.

The motherboard supports Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual Core and Celeron 400 series processors. It also supports DDR2 800 memory, AMD CrossFire technology, PCI Express Gigabit LAN and IEEE1394.

The motherboard is ready for upcoming 45nm processors, according to the company.

SiS has announced that MSI’s MS-7317 motherboard, which adopts the SiS671 chipset, has entered volume production.

MSI implements the SiS671 chipset in its MS-7317 motherboard for the mainstream market. It supports Intel Core 2 Duo FSB 800MHz processor and single channel DDR2-667 which provides up to 4GB of memory size. With the Mirage3 graphics engine, the SiS671 enables the MS-7317 motherboard to support DirectX9.0a, the press release says.

Asus P5S MX SESilicon Integrated System (SiS) has announced that Asustek Computer’s P5S-MX SE motherboard, which adopts its SiS671FX chipset, has been officially launched. “The P5S-MX SE motherboard supports Intel Core 2 Duo, Pentium D, Pentium 4 and Celeron processors with 1066, 800 and 533MHz FSB. It supports single-channel DDR2 667MHz memory with bandwidth up to 5.4GB/s,” DigiTimes reports.

Biostar TP35D3 A7 Deluxe Biostar has released its T-Series TF560 A2 motherboard which supports AMD’s upcoming socket AM2+ CPUs. Although socket AM2+ CPUs will not launch until later in the year, the socket is backwards compatible and is able to support both AM2 and AM2+ CPUs, according to the company.

AMDAMD has scheduled to release its new 7 series chipsets in the second half of 2007.

“The 7 series chipsets will introduce support for HyperTransport 3.0 and will include the high-end RD790 which will adopt PCI Express 2.0, mainstream RX780, and two models with integrated graphics (IGP); the RS740 which supports DirectX 9, and RS780 which will add support for DirectX 10 and AMD’s UVD (Universal Video Decoder) technology, according the the sources. The RX780 and RS740 will launch in the third quarter while the RD790 and RD780 will follow in the fourth quarter,” DigiTimes reports.

intel Intel plans to launch two new entry level chipsets in Q3 this year to replace the current 946GZ/PL and 945G chipsets. Intel G31 Express and P31 Express support the current Core 2 Duo and Quad processors as well as the upcoming 45nm Yorkfield and Wolfdale. G31/P31 supports 1066FSB in Q3′07 and 1333FSB in Q1′08 upon validation, DDR2-800 memories up to 4GB and allows one x16 PCIe slot for discrete graphics. However, G31/P31 is paired up with older ICH7 series. For G31, it comes with integrated Intel GMA 3100 like G33, Q33 and Q35 chipsets.
