Both media centers come with up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and with up to 400GB of data storage capacity. Graphics card choices include NVIDIA GeForce 7350LE, NVIDIA GeForce 7300LE and NVIDIA GeForce 7500LE, as well as ATI RADEON X1700SE. There is integrated 7.1 channel sound and a variety of optional TV tuners in both models.

HP Pavilion Media Center TV m8000 Series Desktop PC

The Pavilion a6005y/a6000y ship with Intel Celeron D 360, Intel Pentium 4 641 or Intel Pentium D 925 processors, all supporting 64-bit operating systems and software. HP a6005y provides a choice between integrated Intel 950 graphics, 64MB NVIDIA GeForce 7300LE and 128MB NVIDIA GeForce 7350LE, while the a6000y uses Intel 950 only. Regarding storage, a6005y has up to 400GB of hard drive capacity, contrary to a6000y providing up to 160GB. These Intel based Pavilions come with up to 2GB of DDR2 533MHz memory.

There are AMD Sempron 3400+, Athlon 64 3500+ and Athlon 64 3800+ 64-bit choices, when purchasing the HP Pavilion a6010e. This PC uses integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE graphics or dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 7300LE and provides up to 2GB DDR2 533MHz memory and up to 400GB of storage.

HP Pavilion a6005y and a6000y are priced starting at $329.99, while the a6010e costs at least $429.99.

However, these systems have found difficulty in expanding sales in to the wider desktop market due to higher costs, lower performance, and lower expansion options compared to traditional desktop systems,” the report says.

According to sources, Intel will launch Santa Rosa supporting Intel T7000-series processors, which support higher 800MHz FSB speeds, in the first week of May. These will carry the processor numbers T7100, T7300, T7500 and T7700 and have 1000-unit tray quantities prices ranging from US$209 to US$530.

The Alienware Area-51 ALX with overclocked quad-core CPU has a starting price of $5,799. The same processor is available in Area-51 7500 SLI configurations for $2,199.

Apple appears to have found the leaked information and have removed the text from their site.

Rumors that Apple would incorporate two of Intel Quad-Core Xeon (Clovertown) processors chips into a Mac Pro to produce an 8-core Mac Pro have been ongoing since late last year, the report says.

ZDNet has tested the unofficial eight-core Apple Mac Pro, upgraded with a pair of Intel’s quad-core 2.66GHz Xeon 5355 processors last year. The 8-core Mac Pro was 31 percent faster than the same four-core machine.

“Available in single and dual-processor customizations, the MJ-12 8550i features up to eight total processing cores and delivers 50 percent greater performance than previous-generation Intel Xeon processor-based workstations. Both the MJ-12 8550i and MJ-12 8550a are also packed with up to four 15,000 RPM Serial Attached SCSI hard drives to optimize storage space and data access speed. For memory and graphics-intensive applications, the two workstations are configurable with up to 16GB of DDR2 memory, along with advanced NVIDIA Quadro FX and ATI FireGL graphics. Shuttle XPC SD39P2 is based on Intel 975X chipset with PCI express x16 slot supporting “hi-end big graphic cards such like nVidia 8800″. The new SFF computer with “space design containing the four DDR2 memories and 3-4 hard drives inside, and its 400W power supply unit” can be good choice for power computing users, multimedia entertainment enthusiasts and gamers, Shuttle says.

The XPC SD39P2 also has overclocking functions. You can adjust the “CPU Clock Ratio”, “CPU Clock”, and “DDR2 Voltage set” in PC’s BIOS.

The Windows Vista Ready Asus P2-M2A690G provides HDMI, D-sub and S/PDIF output, IEEE 1394, as same as CF, MS, SD, MMC card readers and much more, the company says.

There is no information on which processors P2-M2A690G supports, but according to the product name it is built on AMD’s 690G chipset-based motherboard for AM2 socket CPUs. The 690G chipset is claimed to have and integrated X1250 graphics.

Nano Abox V2.0 features 155 x 87 mm TFT screen and supports 64-bit Intel Core 2 Duo processors, as same as up to 2GB of DDRII memory using SO-DIMM connectors. This Mini-PC, which is “no bigger than a textbook”, is packed with multimedia capabilities boasting VIIV compatibility and includes integrated graphics, eight-channel audio, USB 2.0, IEEE1394 and Gigabit Ethernet LAN.

The Intel 975X chipset-based Shuttle XPC P2 3700w provides ATI FireGL or NVIDIA Quadro graphics, up to 2.2 Terabytes of storage and a Gigabit Ethernet connection.

OMS GX300 uses two 500GB SATA hard drives with 7200rpm speed, providing one Terabyte of storage. It also has two dual-layer DVD burners.

This Intel P965 chipset based HTPC computer features DTS Connect and Dolby Digital Live Technology, as same as 7-inch touch-screen display on the media center’s front panel. The GX300 can be configured with TV Tuners with hardware MPEG-2 encoder, PCI Over-The-Air HDTV tuners or an optional USB HDTV tuner.

The CineMagix Grand Theater is Intel Core 2 Duo/Extreme/Quad-based with Intel D975XBX2LKR Bad Axe II motherboard and up to 2.25 terabytes of hard drive storage. It’s graphics is powered by NVIDIA’s GeForce with DirectX 10 support. The CineMagix Grand Theater is priced starting at $2195.

The Velocity CineMagix Pro Cinema uses AMD’s dual core Athlon processors and Asus M2N32 SLI Deluxe motherboard, has a maximum of 1.5TB of storage and incorporates ATI Radeon DirectX 10 graphics. The base CineMagix Pro Cinema configuration costs $1695.

Both media centers come with up to 4GB of main memory.

On the Gateway’s website there is only a 32-bit Vista option when you purchase the DX430, but Media Relations Director in Gateway Lisa Emard says it is possible to purchase this PC with 64-bit Vista preloaded.

“We do indeed offer the 64-bit version of Vista on our DX430. However, it’s something we offer customers over the phone vs. on the web, as we think it’s prudent to talk with our customers about some of the compatibility issues they might encounter with the 64-bit version before they make their purchase decision,” Lisa Emard said for 64-Bit-Computers.

The new DX430 desktop PCs are based on Intel G965 chipset with integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3000, which is capable of running Windows Aero 3D desktop feature in Microsoft’s new OS. Gateway DX430 computers support up to 4GB of main memory and can be configured with up to 1000GB of hard drive capacity, using two 500GB HDDs.

The computer components are packed into Micro ATX chasssis.

Lenovo ThinkCentre A55 SFF is approximately 64 percent smaller than Lenovo’s traditional tower form factor and 25 percent smaller than its conventional small desktop. Its smaller footprint can free up desk space for other items, such as an extra monitor for dual-monitor work environments or a personal printer and scanner, the company’s press release says.

“Dell developed the H2C design, (named also “Black Ice” in reports), to better cool the processor, extend its life and help the system run more reliably than conventional cooling systems even when the system is overclocked. The Intel quad-core processor is factory overclocked for extreme gaming and video editing, and backed by specialized XPS technicians,” Dell published.

Dell’s H2C cooling system is a custom two-stage process. First, a liquid-to-air heat exchanger that works like a car’s radiator removes most of the heat from the processor. Then, a fluid chiller removes more heat with ceramic-based thermoelectric cooling (TEC) modules like those used in space shuttles to transfer heat from the sunny side to the cold, dark side in space. Sensor controls help prevent the formation of frost or condensation by helping to keep the processor slightly above ambient room temperature, according to companys press release.

Jewelry designer, Lee Buckingham has joined this project to come out with three different luxurious jewelry designs. The enclosures are covered with the most expensive blue Sapphires, Topazes, Rubies, Diamonds, and other gemstones.

“The Renaissance system is decorated with fine Rubies on the front panel of the system. The only one single unit available in the world is showing at CES 2007. Sony VAIO TP1 has HDMI out (High Definition Multimedia Interface), DVI-D (through HDMI to DVI-D adapter), and a VGA out. Sony also incorporated Sound Reality technology to boost audio performance for high-quality digital sound and support for Direct Steam Digital for unsurpassed reproduction.

The VAIO XL3 Digital Living System will be available in March in crimson black for about $3,300.

It will ship with Windows Vista Home Premium installed.

It has NVIDIA integrated graphics with DirectX 9.0, High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) support and the 8 channel High Definition Audio, according to MSI.

MSI Media Live also features 12-in-1 card reader, with support for CF, MD, MMC, SMC, SD, miniSD, microSD, RS-MMC, MS, MS-pro, MS-duo and MS-M2.
