iMacApple has unveiled the new all-in-one iMac line featuring 20- and 24-inch widescreen displays encased in aluminum and glass enclosures. The entire new iMac line features the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors and a new, ultra-thin aluminum Apple Keyboard, built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing and iLife ’08. The 20-inch iMac now starts at $1,199, $300 less than the previous 20-inch model, and the 24-inch iMac starts at $1,799, $200 less than the previous 24-inch model, Apple published.

vostroDell has announced its new Vostro line of desktop and laptop PCs, based on AMD’s and Intel’s 64-bit solutions. The new systems are more business-oriented than Dells Inspiron consumer PCs, yet more personalized than the enterprise-class Dell Optiplex and Latitude PCs.

dellDell has released the new 64-bit desktop and notebook computers. The new PCs are Inspiron 530, 530s and 531, 531s desktops; Inspiron 1720, 1721 (17-inch), Inspiron 1520 and 1521 (15.4-inch), Inspiron 1420 (14.1 inch) notebooks; and XPS M1330 (13.3-inch) notebook.

The machine adopts an 64-bit processor, the latest G33 chipset with integrated graphics, ICH9DH southbridge, and MXM (mobile PCI Express module) slot for hardware expansion. Acer is also planing to introduce a same-sized model built around ATI Radeon X1250/X1200 chipsets, named the Aspire X1100.

AMDAMD announced the finalization of the DTX specification, an open standard initiated by AMD to enable the development of small form factor (SSF) PCs. AMD also introduced new 45-watt energy-efficient processors based on 65nm technology, the AMD Athlon X2 dual-core processor BE-2350 and the AMD Athlon X2 dual-core processor BE-2300 at Computex Taipei 2007.

Dell XPS 720 H2O Edition Gaming Desktop Dell today expanded its desktop gaming PC line with the XPS 720 H2C Edition.

“The XPS 720 H2C ships with 800MHz Corsair DOMINATOR EPP memory modules (factory overclocked1 to 1066MHz) combined with Intel multi-core processors (factory overclocked up to bin+3). Additionally, BIOS switches allow users to manipulate the speed of the front-side bus and chipset through the Windows OS and third-party applications such as nVIDIA nTune2. To help ensure optimal operating conditions, Dell’s patent-pending, two-stage liquid H2C Ceramic cooling technology can deliver optimized thermal controls with minimal power,” the press release says.
