ASRock has released Socket AM2 based ATI CrossFire Xpress 1600 motherboard, called ALiveXFire-eSATA2. The new motherboard is Windows Vista Capable and AMD LIVE! ready and has Gigabit LAN and eSATAII functions.
The ASRock ALiveXFire-eSATA2, based on ATI CrossFire Xpress 1600 and ATI SB600 chipsets, supports Dual Channel DDRII800 memory, 4 x DIMM slots, with maximum capacity up to 8GB. According to ASRock, the highlight of this board is ATI CrossFire. With free bundled PCIE Switch card, you may even flexibly choose between one PCI Express x 16 slot and two PCI Express Graphics slots for ATI CrossFire.
The eSATAII is featured on the board too. ALiveXFire-eSATA2 is designed with 2 x eSATAII 3.0 Gb/s connectors (shared with 2 SATAII ports), supporting RAID (RAID 0 and RAID 1), NCQ, AHCI and “Hot Plug” functions. In addition, this motherboard is equipped with 4 SATAII 3.0 Gb/s connectors, supporting RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10), NCQ, AHCI and “Hot Plug” functions as well. This new motherobard is designed with HDMI_SPDIF header, which provides SPDIF audio output to HDMI VGA card, and allows the system to connect HDMI Digital TV/projector/LCD devices.
