ASRock announced the ALiveNF5-eSATA2+ motherboard featuring NVIDIA’s new nForce 520 Chipset with AM2 socket for AMD Athlon 64FX / 64 X2 / 64 and Sempron processors.
Introduced as an affordable motherboard with many practical features, ASRock ALiveNF5-eSATA2 is capable of running at 1000MHz (2.0GT/s) and is designed with four DIMM slots for Dual Channel DDRII800/667/533 memory with maximum capacity up to 8GB. This AMD Live! Ready mainboard has one PCI Express x16 slot, two PCIe x1 slots and comes with 7.1 CH Windows Vista Premium Level HD Audio (ALC888 Audio Codec), which is one important criteria to support Windows Vista Premium.
For storage function, ALiveNF5-eSATA2+ features four SATA2 3.0 Gb/s connectors, with RAID (RAID 0, 1, RAID 0+1, RAID 5, JBOD) support.
The ASRock’s new motherboard features PCIe Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000 Mb/s, and two IEEE1394 ports.
ASRock ALiveNF5-eSATA2 has officially passed Windows Vista Premium Logo certification.
The company also published benchmark results, showing that the NVIDIA nForce 520 Chipset outperforms NVIDIA nForce 550 in many test items such as 3DMark, Sandra and Quake etc.
