Apple’s UK Store leaks some information which suggests that 8-core Mac Pros are coming soon, MacRumors reports.
Apple appears to have found the leaked information and have removed the text from their site.
Rumors that Apple would incorporate two of Intel Quad-Core Xeon (Clovertown) processors chips into a Mac Pro to produce an 8-core Mac Pro have been ongoing since late last year, the report says.
ZDNet has tested the unofficial eight-core Apple Mac Pro, upgraded with a pair of Intel’s quad-core 2.66GHz Xeon 5355 processors last year. The 8-core Mac Pro was 31 percent faster than the same four-core machine.
