AMD has announced the Sempron 2100+ processor for embedded systems, offering fanless design and 64-bit technology in a 9W power envelope.
AMD Sempron 2100+ is compatible with the recently announced AMD M690T chipset, used in notebook computers. It has “the high shock and vibration specification Socket S1, offering high reliability for ruggedized computing,” AMD claims.
The chip maker also introduced 32-bit AMD Geode LX 800 @ 0.9W processor with extended temperature support.
