AMD Athlon 64 x2 5600+, 5400+ Available

AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual CoreAMD has just added the two new processors to its Athlon 64 x2 dual core series. The 64-bit Athlons 5600+ and 5400+ with 2000MHz HyperTransport bus are both clocked at 2.8GHz and made for AM2 sockets.

The Athlon 64 X2 5600+ has 1MB of dedicated L2 cache per core and is priced at $505, while the 5400+ with 512K of L2 cache per core costs $485.

The prices are for direct AMD customers in 1000-unit tray quantities.

    Where can I buy the AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 5600+ …? I’ve had very little luck finding one.

    They are bearly out yet there due in Australia early march dunno bout the rest of the world. They hav increased the FSB giving it 2.8gighz but will that realli make a diff against intel’s core 2 duo?? we’ll have to wait and see :)
