The Shuttle XPC Glamor series SG31G2 supports the latest Intel multi-core processors and is designed for the upcoming Intel 45nm Core 2 Multi-Core processors means your platform is upgradeable with future processors. The Intel G31 Express Chipset features Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 with Intel Clear Video Technology providing a higher quality and richer graphical experience. The SG31G2 supports up to 8-channel high definition audio to match the superb graphics. ASRock has announced its first Intel 3 series motherboard, the ASRock 4Core1333-eSATA2 based on the P31 plus ICH7R chipset combination.

The motherboard supports Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual Core and Celeron 400 series processors. It also supports DDR2 800 memory, AMD CrossFire technology, PCI Express Gigabit LAN and IEEE1394.

The motherboard is ready for upcoming 45nm processors, according to the company.

SiS has announced that MSI’s MS-7317 motherboard, which adopts the SiS671 chipset, has entered volume production.

MSI implements the SiS671 chipset in its MS-7317 motherboard for the mainstream market. It supports Intel Core 2 Duo FSB 800MHz processor and single channel DDR2-667 which provides up to 4GB of memory size. With the Mirage3 graphics engine, the SiS671 enables the MS-7317 motherboard to support DirectX9.0a, the press release says.

Apple has unveiled the new all-in-one iMac line featuring 20- and 24-inch widescreen displays encased in aluminum and glass enclosures. The entire new iMac line features the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors and a new, ultra-thin aluminum Apple Keyboard, built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing and iLife ’08. The 20-inch iMac now starts at $1,199, $300 less than the previous 20-inch model, and the 24-inch iMac starts at $1,799, $200 less than the previous 24-inch model, Apple published.

AMD will cut prices on some of AM2 Athlon 64 X2 processors on August 13th reportedly.

“Athlon 64 X2 4000+, the 4200+ and the X2 4400+ will all have their prices cut. Earlier on Aug 6th, AMD has released dual-core Opteron 8222, 2222, 1222 at 3GHz/95W and Opteron 8224 SE, 2224 SE at 3.2GHz/119W and cut some of the older Opteron models prices,” the report says.
