Kingston DDR3 1066MHzKingston Technology has unveiled its DDR3 1066MHz memory modules which have been validated on Intel reference platforms (PMO). According to Kingston, the new DDR3 1066MHz memory modules are expected to be twice as fast as today’s highest speed DDR2 memory.

Dell XPS 720 H2O Edition Gaming Desktop Dell today expanded its desktop gaming PC line with the XPS 720 H2C Edition.

“The XPS 720 H2C ships with 800MHz Corsair DOMINATOR EPP memory modules (factory overclocked1 to 1066MHz) combined with Intel multi-core processors (factory overclocked up to bin+3). Additionally, BIOS switches allow users to manipulate the speed of the front-side bus and chipset through the Windows OS and third-party applications such as nVIDIA nTune2. To help ensure optimal operating conditions, Dell’s patent-pending, two-stage liquid H2C Ceramic cooling technology can deliver optimized thermal controls with minimal power,” the press release says.

ocz_ddr3 Memory maker OCZ Technology just announced its new 1066MHz and 1333MHz DDR3 memory modules. The 1066MHZ modules have CL 7-7-7-21 timings and the 1333MHz run at CL 9-9-9-26.

The first OCZ DDR3 products will accommodate standard JEDEC specifications for third generation DDR. OCZ will sell a total of four modules, in either PC3-8500 (1066MHz) and PC3-10666 (1333MHz) speeds and 2×512MB and 2×1024MB dual channel kits, the company said.

Abit IP35 SeriesAbit announced today the IP35 Series, their newest Intel P35 chipset- based motherboard series for LGA775 Core2 Extreme/Quad/Duo processors. The IP35 Series motherboards are specifically engineered for Intel’s multi-core CPUs with up to 1333 MHz FSB, and CPU support already includes upcoming 45 nm processors.

foxconn-p35sFoxconn has announced the P35A-S and P35A, its first motherboards based on the Intel P35 “Bearlake” chipsets.

“The new P35A-S and P35A motherboards promise better all-round system performance with support for FSB speeds of up to 1333MHz, built-in future proofing for forthcoming 45nm processors, and support for today’s latest generation processors - Core2 Quad and Core2 Duo,” according to Foxconn.

AMDAMD today unveiled the upcoming four-core AMD Phenom processor family name and publicly demonstrated the first all-AMD enthusiast platform, codenamed “FASN8.”

“The industry’s only true quad-core client processors are expected to deliver the ultimate visual experience, especially when paired with AMD’s new DirectX 10 ATI Radeon HD 2000 series. AMD expects true quad-core and dual-core AMD Phenom-based desktop systems will ship in the second half of 2007,” the chip maker announced today.

Along with new GM965/PM965 chipsets, these laptops feature the new 64-bit Intel Core 2 Duo processors, which now have 800MHz front side bus, compared to the first generation of Core 2 Duos for notebooks with 667MHz FSB. Also, now there is increased number of PC vendors offering their mobile computers with 64-bit Windows Vista OS pre-installed.

Intel Intel today introduced the new Centrino “Santa Rosa” notebook computer technology. The latest “Santa Rosa”-based laptops with “Centrino Duo” and “Centrino Pro” logos feature the new Mobile Intel 965 Express chipsets, 64-bit Core 2 Duo processors with increased front side bus speed to 800MHz from 667MHz, a new integrated graphics, a wireless N connection with greater speed and range, a Turbo Memory for faster boot-up and application loading, and Intel’s Active Management Technology in business-use models.

The major notebook makers have already released the first “Santa Rosa” notebooks. Intel expects the release of more than 230 Centrino Duo and Centrino Pro processor technology-based designs from PC manufacturers, resellers and integrators around the world to be released this year.
