Gateway today introduced the FX530 Series Desktop PC made for computer enthusiasts. Gateway FX530 combines an Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Extreme processor with ATI RADEON x1950 and x1900 CrossFire Edition graphics. In addition, the FX530 was designed to support Intel’s next-generation Quad-Core processing technology when available.

“Gamers will especially appreciate the fact that the Gateway FX530 can be purchased direct from Gateway with over-clocking capabilities. Fully tested and backed by a Gateway limited warranty, the Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 dual-core processor can be ordered over-clocked for maximum performance”, the Gateway’s press release says.

The new FX530 desktops include Intel Viiv technology and Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.

The Gateway FX530 Series can be ordered now through Gateway’s Direct channels (http://www.gateway.com/ or 1-800-GATEWAY) with starting price of $2500. It will begin shipping on November 2.

Current Intel Centrino LogoForthcoming Intel’s notebook platform, codenamed “Santa Rosa”, designed for use with 64-bit Core 2 Duo processors, will be officially named “Centrino Pro”, Digi Times reports. “In the second quarter of 2007, Intel will launch its new Core 2 Duo CPU lineup, which includes the T7300, T7500 and T7700 models, featuring Socket P connector, 800MHz FSB and 4MB L2 cache, as well as the T7100 with 2MB of L2 cache”, the report says.

Asus P5GZ-MXASUS has launched P5GZ-MX , the fist 64-bit and 32-bit Windows Vista Premium Certified motherboard.

Based on Intel 945GZ chipset, Asus P5GZ-MX incorporates LGA775 socket for Intel Core 2 Duo, Pentium D, Pentium 4, and Celeron D processors and has an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. The Vista certified motherboard has one PCI-E x16 @ x4 speed slot, a PCI-E x1, two PCI slots and a Gigabit Ethernet, as same as support for up to four SATA hard drives.

GIGABYTE P965/G965 SeriesGigabyte announced the latest BIOS upgrades for their entire line of GIGABYTE P965/G965 motherboards, enabling Intel Quad Core processor support.

ASRock ALiveXFire-eSATA2ASRock has released Socket AM2 based ATI CrossFire Xpress 1600 motherboard, called ALiveXFire-eSATA2. The new motherboard is Windows Vista Capable and AMD LIVE! ready and has Gigabit LAN and eSATAII functions.

The ASRock ALiveXFire-eSATA2, based on ATI CrossFire Xpress 1600 and ATI SB600 chipsets, supports Dual Channel DDRII800 memory, 4 x DIMM slots, with maximum capacity up to 8GB. According to ASRock, the highlight of this board is ATI CrossFire. The eSATAII is featured on the board too.
